Reproducing collagraph prints

A recent assignment involved photographing a series of original collagraph prints for printmaking artist Theresa Taylor. Her prints are quite delicate yet have a textured surface, so it was important to try and capture the intracacies and retain the correct colours to do them justice.

Those supplied mounted were easier to handle and photograph than those unmounted prints on paper, which were slightly trickier. In the shots taken in my refurbished, purpose-built and custom designed art reproduction photography studio, now fully blacked-out, the colours looked fabulous.
